Flat Niamh's Last Journal Entry from Haiku, Maui, Hawaii

Flat Niamh is already on her way back to the mainland now.  Here is a picture of her waiting for the mail carrier to arrive.

Flat Niamh was very busy during her visit! Look at all the places she went.  We marked all of them on a Google Earth map which you can see here:

She has a pretty long way to go: nearly 2,400 miles.

Niamh received a post card from Ho'okipa Lookout and Flat Niamh is on it:

Niamh's little sister is becoming quite adept with the tools of geography:

She is using a stellar globe, one that depicts constellations, but given that the Oceanic peoples who settled the Hawaiian islands used wayfaring as a means of navigation, perhaps she is on to something.

Next time maybe Flat Niamh will go all the way up to the top of Haleakala to see the crater.  It looks like another world up there.
