Flat Lamby's Journal Entry from Cabot, Arkansas

Flat Lamby looking out the window at snow falling . Hoping to have enough snow to make a "Snow Cullen"

There wasn't enough snow for "Flat Lamby" to build a "Snow Cullen"

It is 1,508 miles/2427 kilometers (as the crow flies) from Simi Valley to Cabot, Arkansas.
Tomorrow's  (February 11, 2011) forecast for Cabot:  High temperature 42 F/ low temperature 23F.
The forecast for Simi Valley: High temperature: 74F/low temperature: 44F.

"As the crow flies" differs quite a lot from making a journey on the roadways, and one would cruise the historic and world famous Route 66 to make the trek.

Courtesy of Wikipedia:

U.S. Route 66 (also known as the Will Rogers Highway after the humorist, and colloquially known as the "Main Street of America" or the "Mother Road") was a highway in the U.S. Highway System. One of the original U.S. highways, Route 66 was established on November 11, 1926. However, road signs did not go up until the following year.[1] The famous highway originally ran from ChicagoIllinois, through MissouriKansasOklahomaTexasNew MexicoArizona, and California, before ending at Los Angeles, covering a total of 2,448 miles (3,940 km).[2] It was recognized in popular culture by both a hit song (written by Bobby Troup, originally recorded by the Nat King Cole Trio in 1946, and later performed by such artists as Chuck BerryThe Rolling StonesThe Manhattan Transfer and Depeche Mode) and the Route 66 television show in the 1960s.

Here is a nice exemplification of what Route 66 still means to a lot of people:
