Flat Niamh and Flat Clara's Journal Entry from Tacoma, Washington

On our way from the airport in Seattle we had to drive through the city of Tacoma, WA. There are a few ways to get to the Olympic peninsula (which is surrounded by water). We decided to drive across a bridge that connected the peninsula to Seattle area by Tacoma. You can also take your car on a ferry across the waters of Puget Sound.

In Tacoma, we stopped at the largest glass blowing center in the country. There was a glass blowing museum that had live glass blowing demonstrations. There was also stuff by a famous glass blower named Dale Chihuly (who has his glass art all over the world). Here are some pictures of his stuff. There was a walking bridge that connected two art museums and if you looked up, the ceiling was all colorful blown glass pieces (and flat Clara!) There were also large blue sticks that looked giant rock candy suckers on the bridge. Yum!
